Pumpkin marinated in sweet and sour
Meanwhile, HAPPY NEW YEAR to all.
Among the many things that were on the table at New Year's Eve dinner last night I decided to add even on the last "PUMPKIN-SOUR MARINATED" as the recipe Isarella cookaround.com forum.
I quote here the entire recipe with some photographs of Isarella.
Ingredients (I used only 50% of the amount indicated, was the first time and I was afraid he did not like):
1.2 or 1.3 kg. pumpkin already clean (ie no seeds nor peel, with the weight is 2 kg);
pint of water;
pint of vinegar;
half cup of salt;
half cup of sugar;
garlic, parsley and chilli.
Procedure:
After cleaning and washing the pumpkin cut into thin slices and wash them.
Boil water, vinegar, salt and sugar, when it boils add the slices of pumpkin, which must be covered by the liquid.
Boil for 4 to a maximum of 5 minutes and put the pumpkin to drain and cool.
Then season with garlic, parsley, pepper and oil.
